Confidence Clubs
What makes Captain Fantastic great is that we are not just another children’s entertainment company. We have a mission, a vision. We want to entertain, engage and educate children across the country. We call them our three E’s, and we’re passionate about them.
Which is why we are pleased to introduce our Confidence Club programme, where, children have fun while developing their personal, social and emotional skills!
What is Confidence Club?
Confidence Club is a 1-hour session with games, dancing and laughter in groups with themed activities and stories linked to personal development. Our superhero, Captain Fantastic, takes children on a journey where they learn together and help with the many challenges of Space Academy!
Confidence club focuses on the following themes, which have been shaped by national guidance on child learning and development:
- Dispositions and Attitudes – getting children interested and excited about their learning.
- Self Confidence and Self Esteem – building a sense of their own value and the value of other people.
- Making Relationships – developing good relationships and learning to work together in a positive way.
- Behaviour and Self-Control – learning about right and wrong and “why”. How their actions can impact others.
- Self-Care – Developing independence and knowing who can help and support them.
- Sense of Community – Respecting your own needs, views and culture whilst learning to appreciate the differences and similarities of others.

How does it work?
With schools under more and more pressure to provide wrap-around care, Confidence club is an ideal solution. Delivered as a block of sessions to a group of up to 25 children, Confidence Club works well as a breakfast club or after school club. Each session addresses a personal and social development theme with activities specifically planned to develop certain ideas or skills.
The group leader will come to your school to deliver the sessions and provide all the equipment needed. As well as being DBS checked, all our group leaders are fully insured and have undergone safeguarding training.
Who is it for?
Confidence Club is aimed at children in Key Stage 1 as a way to have fun, learn and grow. It is a perfect addition to any schools existing wrap around childcare provision for all children between the ages of 5 and 7.
We also recognise that Confidence Club may benefit children where their class teacher or parent has noticed they are suffering from low confidence. Although this is a group setting, in such cases the group leader will be able to offer additional support for those children within the session to help ensure that all children feel a belonging, get involved and are valued members of the group.
