The story so far...
In the bustling landscape of entertainment, one extraordinary journey began in 2010 when Tommy Balaam, fresh off the stage of East 15 acting school, uncovered his true calling: crafting unforgettable children’s parties. With boundless creativity and a natural knack for captivating young hearts, Tommy breathed life into Captain Fantastic—a superhero set on rescuing every celebration from the ordinary.
But what’s a hero without allies? In 2013, Tommy’s closest companion and fellow East 15 alumnus, Ricky Fox, joined forces, infusing the adventure with a burst of energy and innovation. Together, they pioneered groundbreaking party experiences and even ventured into uncharted territories with Mindfulness & Wellbeing courses for kids.
As the story unfolded, Ricky’s chapter came to a close in 2022, leaving behind a legacy of laughter and joy. But the tale didn’t end there. In 2023, Kris Mitchell stepped onto the scene, becoming a partner in our American venture. With Kris’s expertise and Tommy’s visionary leadership, Captain Fantastic has set sail for new horizons in the land of opportunity!
Armed with decades of combined experience in children’s entertainment and a deep understanding of what makes kids tick, Tommy and Kris are ready to introduce the magic of Captain Fantastic to families across the United States. From the bustling streets of New York City to the sunny shores of California, our team is dedicated to bringing smiles and wonder to every child’s face.
And the adventure doesn’t stop there! Captain Fantastic has embraced the digital age, launching “Captain Fantastic Adventures,” a YouTube series showcasing family-friendly destinations perfect for your next escapade. So, grab your cape and join us as we embark on an unforgettable journey filled with magic, laughter, and endless possibilities!

Our Team
All our staff here at Captain Fantastic are committed to providing second-to-none quality entertainment. We understand the importance of fully engaging the party audience’s attention to make sure your child has a blast, and to keep them completely captivated so the adults can sit back and relax!
All of our entertainers and Dj’s are:

- Regularly assessed to ensure we maintain a consistently high standard of quality
- Carry $2 million public liability insurance
